Halvo P1: launch visuals for a premium massage gun

Halvo is my own concept product, with an invented brand, built to show the launch package a wellness or tech brand would need. Before modelling, I read through what buyers say about the best-selling massage guns. They love the relief, but complain about batteries that die, guns that break and premium guns that are too loud. Halvo was designed around those complaints, and sold on one line: undo what the day tied.

The idea

Knots, untied

Most massage guns are sold like power tools: black plastic, big numbers and gym lighting. Halvo goes the other way, with materials you would keep in a living room and plain words about relief.

The campaign uses one recurring image. A rope stands in for tension, and Halvo is always the thing loosening it. That shows relief without showing a body, and it reads in half a second with the sound off.

How it was made

From buyer research to campaign

  1. Start with the buyers

Amazon reviews of nine best-selling guns, from $30 to $400, shaped the brief: a swappable battery, a build that lasts and a quiet motor.

  2. Design for every hand

A pebble-shaped grip with a palm swell and a slight 6° rake, so it rests in the hand instead of needing to be clamped. It is easier to hold for people with less hand strength.

  3. Clean, accurate build

Modelled in Maya at real-world scale with clean quad topology, down to the padded linen wrap with rolled edges and the flat walnut base that stands it upright.

  4. A brand of its own

Brand guidelines for the invented company: wordmark, a palette taken from the product's materials, typography, tone of voice and two lighting worlds, warm day and cool night.

  5. Rope, built and animated

The twisted three-strand rope is modelled strand by strand, then animated loosening, sliding off the nose and falling to the floor as the Halvo floats free.

  6. Light and grade

Each setting lit in V-Ray, from warm studio to pool-side shadows, with the light graded and the product materials left untouched.
